What is ECO?

ECO was set up in 2013 to help fund installation and repairs of heating and insulation, to help qualifying low-income households cut their fuel bills. 


Under ECO (Energy companies obligations) the UK Government has set targets for energy companies to meet. Under the scheme energy companies are required to provide UK homeowners with primary measures to use less energy.

You could be eligible for a grant if either of the following apply to you

Are Currently Claiming any of the following benefits

  • Pension credit guarantee credit
  • Income support
  • Universal credit
  • Attendance allowance
  • Disability living allowance
  • War pensions mobility supplement
  • Personal independace Payment
  • Income related employment support allowance 
  • Working & child tax credits
  • Armed forces independent payment
  • Carers allowance
  • Severe disablement allowance
  • Industrial Injuries Disablement benefit
  • Constant attendance allowance
  •  

If you meet the criteria set out by your local authority, they will issue a declaration allowing you to qualify under ECO 3.

Common ways to qualify are:

  • People over 60 or under 18 living in the household.
  • Households earning less than £32,000 PA
  • People living with conditions exasperated by the cold. 
  • Homes in need of an upgrade to avoid fuel poverty

Our Services

Boiler Replacements

With energy bills more expensive than ever, your boiler needs to be heating your home at the lowest cost possible.

Under the ECO Affordable Warmth Scheme, funding is available to cover the full cost of a boiler replacement as well as a free survey to establish whether you qualify.

Cavity Wall Insulation

With about a third of heat lost in an uninsulated home escaping through the walls, Cavity Wall Insulation is a quick and easy way to start saving money on your energy bills.

First time central heating

Grants are available for those people that do not have a central heating system present in the property. To be eligible to receive a heating grant to cover the cost of having a central heating system installed, you or someone living in the property must be in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits.

Loft Insulation

Loft Insulation is usually the quickest form of insulation and is quite easy to install with little to no disruption.

Coupled with a new and more energy efficient boiler, you can save money off your heating bill whilst making your home more comfortable

Our 3 Step Process

Eligibility check

Complete the free eligibility checker online and find if you're eligible for an energy saving grant.

Surveys

After confirming you are eligible, you will be given a date and time of when a surveyor will go and check the property. 
There are a total of 2 surveys to be had, the first is  to check what sort of funding you are eligible for, the second is a technical survey to price up the cost of the work that will need to be done.

Installation

Once you have had both of your surveys, we will contact you with a quotation for the work that will need to be carried out. This is calculated by working out the cost of the job minus the grant contribution you are eligible for.
Once the quotation has been expected we will book you in for an installation date.
